The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology has also aggravated the opposition against the industry. Recently protesters have launched **direct action campaigns to AI companies by passing beyond traditional demonstration methods. This movement called “Felt” aims to interfere with the data centers of technology companies.

The main motivation of the movement includes:

  • Effect of large amount of energy consumption on the environment for training of artificial intelligence models
  • Data privacy and copyright infringements Home
  • Concerns about labor rights and employment losses
  • Lack of transparency and lack of corporate responsibility

Protesters target major technologies such as OpenAI, Google and Meta. The central argument of the campaign is AI is transmitted on the non-containing road of the industry and therefore it is fictioned in the form of urgent intervention.

Such direct actions trigger a broader dialogue about the social effects of AI technology while creating discussions in the legal framework. While technology companies face security and operational problems, activists seem to have an effective way to hear their voices.
