Rear cameras have now become a standard hardware of modern vehicles. But if you have an old car, you can benefit from this technology with aftermarket solutions. Although not as effective as original integrated cameras, they significantly increase safety when reversing.

The rear camera system consists of several basic components:

  • Small camera sensor is usually installed on the rear bumper or plate of the vehicle and provides a wide range of views
  • Video transmission line transfers the image taken by camera to the screen inside the vehicle, can be wired or wireless
  • In-house display shows image via auto radio, navigation system or a monitor said -Power supply backlightly connected to feed the camera; the gear provides automatic activation when restored

Aftermarket camera systems are simpler than installed hardware. Signal processing can be insufficient and image quality can be lower than the actual factory integration. Despite this, the rear cameras help prevent accidents during parking eliminating blind spots and improve overall driving safety.

If you want to raise the level of security in an old vehicle, a simple rear camera installation offers a practical and affordable option.
