The European Space Agency (ESA) BepiColombo probes the latest approach to Merkür after eight years of space journey. This groundbreaking task is designed to examine the nearest planet on the sun, not millions of kilometers from the red planet and preparing to start the task of collecting data.

The main purpose of BepiColombo is to understand the origin of Merkür. Science aims to explore how people are formed by this study, how they get today’s shape and what the interior structure is. The task is critical to answer basic questions about starting conditions and planetary formation mechanisms.

  • Sekiz annual duty: In the last launched in 2018, it finally reaches its goal with the help of complex orbit maneuvers and gravity massflowering -**: Advanced technology cameras, spectrometers and magnetic field sensors will examine the physical properties of Merkür in detail
  • Exrem conditions: The intensity of the Mercury surface reaches 430°C and the severity of solar radiation is among the technical challenges of the task
  • International cooperation: Japan Space Agency with ESA jointly carries out the mission of this ambicious

Our knowledge about Mercury is limited to other planets. This task will contribute to obtaining data by examining the planet closely and deepening the understanding of science glassia about this mysterious world. The findings that BepiColombo will bring will be horizon opener in terms of early-term formation of the solar system and understanding of the planet evolution.
