The American government tends to artificial intelligence solutions to solve bureaucracy labyrinth. America.gov, a new project of White Saray, aims to enable citizens to access their state services easier through language models-based chatbot. However, this innovative approach has serious risks.

Key issues that attract attention to the scope of the project are:

  • Report risk: The language models tend to produce non-existent information even if they appear in the inconstructive. It can mislead to citizens about improper government procedures or non-existent services.
  • Linear challenges: A big challenge for chatbot architectures, to reliably follow complex and frequent changing public policies.
  • Legal responsibility: As a result of the wrong advice given by the Chatbot, who will be responsible? – Secure issue: The probability of being wrapped by the trust of the public’s government institutions because of artificial intelligence.

Of course, this initiative does not impose potential. Millions can save time by directing people to the right government sources and reduce access obstacles. However, models for success need emergency protocols for training, continuous observation and misinformation.

This experiment results of White Saray are critical to shaping the future of artificial intelligence in government services.
