Claude artificial intelligence developed by Antropic expanded once again. A software developer created an innovative system that automatically analyzes personal games by combining Claude’s visual processing and chess analysis ability.

The project started with a basic question: Claude can play chess using visual processing instead of the traditional PGN (Portable Game Noteation) format? The answer was yes. In the next step, the researcher tested that Claude could build and do game analysis by combining the famous Stockfish with a powerful chess engine.

  • Automatic analysis from notes: The system can start the analysis of a game determined by taking live audio notes or text instructions of players
  • Detailed video output: As a result, a report is generated in video format including descriptions and strategic review
  • Lichess integration: Lichess has the feature of analyzing the latest games from the platform
  • Hibrit AI approach: Combination of Claude’s language understanding and analytical skills with the ability of Stockfish’s strong chess calculation u -Process time: Full analysis of a game can be completed within an hour

Technically, the system can recognize the location in the board using Claude’s visual intelligence and then determine the best moves through Stockfish. Statements created by artificial intelligence become a very valuable learning resource for chess players.

Although the project is still in the development phase, the combination of artificial intelligence and chess analytics shows great potential for both amateur and professional players. This study shared as open source can encourage other developers to create similar applications.
