The new agreement between Fervo Energy and Google constitutes an important step in the use of geothermal energy to feed theepay intelligence data centers. Google will initially buy 400 megawatts (MW) geothermal power from Fervo; this agreement is enough to provide enough energy for a large AI data center in Utah.

The basic elements of this partnership are as follows:

  • Google made agreement with Fervo for geothermal energy capacity of 400 MW
  • The agreement is potentially extended up to 1 gigava
  • Large-scale artificial intelligence installed in the Utah region will power the data center project
  • Improved geothermal technology is able to produce more efficient and fast energy compared to traditional methods
  • Data centers will function as clean energy supply to meet high electrical demand

The increasing energy needs of artificial intelligence industry pushed technology companies to seek sustainable solutions. Jeotermal energy can provide stable power in convenient cost and reliably while reducing carbon footprint. Such agreements shape the future of technology infrastructure.

With Google Fervo, this strategic partnership is a pioneering move in terms of the energy challenges of artificial intelligence applications.
