Apple’s newest operating system macOS 27 Golden Gate offers important innovations to improve Mac experience. But all Mac owners will not be able to use this update. Especially old MacBook models are not able to meet Apple’s new system requirements and convict to stay among unenable devices.

The MacBook models that Apple will not be supported in terms of system requirements are:

  • Specific generation Intel-based MacBook Pro and Air models
  • MacBook categories before Old M1 Home
  • MacBook Air and Pro series produced before 2015
  • 2016 MacBook models Home
  • Some early term M1 and M2 variants

This situation reflects a common practice of technology companies’ software support. Every new operating system brings minimal resources about hardware performance and security standards. New features and security updates of macOS Golden Gate can not work smoothly on old hardware.

  • Activated users*, while staying at the existing macOS versions, the additional risk. The old operating systems are becoming more vulnerable to security open in time. You can start evaluating options such as changing computers faster or switching to other operating systems.

The life span of Apple’s devices seems to continue to be connected to hardware capabilities. Older MacBooks will continue to stay behind in an environment where technology is rapidly transmitted.
