Recommended systems have recently started to mimic the successful structure of large language models. However, this is not a complete comprehensive: Rotary Position Correctional technique received from language models faces a critical deficiency in the recommended environment.

  • Sorun diagnosis: token indexing logic, which is successful in the language models of RoPE, only records the sequence of events in the recommended data, ignores the passing time or cyclic behavior patterns -T-RoPE solution: The researchers warn the standard RoPE to code time information directly
  • Application area: Large-scale recommended systems use Transformer architecture to process line user interaction data
  • Preferred improvement: To provide more accurate recommendations by taking into account the factors that are very common in the real world such as time difference and seasonal habits

To adapt the techniques that are successful in language models to other areas, require special regulations for each area. Recommendation systems include reading habits of a library user or seasonal purchasing patterns of an e-commerce customer, over time related subtleties. T-RoPE aims to integrate such dynamics into Transformer architecture, to better adapt artificial intelligence models to real world complexity.

This study strengthens the bridge between language models and recommended systems and shows how vital the time size is in modern AI architectures.
