A complex process of language and vehicle design in software development world. In particular, parser needs the creation work, the right architectural selections. At this point, Yantra brings an alternative approach to traditional LALR parser generators (such as Yacc, Bison, Lemon).

The main differences of Yantra are:

  • Full AST Build: Unlike traditional LALR tools, creates a full Soyut Söz Array Tree (AST) before it replaces the logical processes during parsing.
  • Feature Advantage: When the rules are downloaded, the problem that parent nodes do not know the structure is eliminated, so access to sister nodes and delayed operations become possible.
  • Three Component: Lexer, parser and AST walker are all produced automatically from one definition.
  • Handle Written Code Remediation: The hand-writing AST classes forced by traditional methods and the unnecessaryness of separate walking stages, shorten development time.

Yantra can significantly save time for project owners working with complex grammar structures. Whether you’re writing compiler or developing DSL (Domain Specific Language), it offers more flexible solutions to cross two-stage decomposition (before AST, then processing).

Yantra released as open source on GitHub gives C++ teams a modern and efficient parser creation method.
