Large language models (LLM) based multi-media systems perform complex problem solving tasks with coordinate work of multiple artificial intelligence tools. But the fundamental difficulty of these systems is to adapt dynamically to the developing state of cooperation. The new research published in arXiv offers this problem with a method called “Gated-Memory Routing”.

Limits of existing approaches:

  • Only the routing based on the initial query, ignores progress or errors between the tools
  • Decision-making based on full operating history, the next steps expose to unnecessary high calculation cost
  • This imbalance negatively affects system accuracy and efficiency

Gated-Memory Routing approach focuses on intelligent learning which means should store. The system reduces the calculation load by selecting only relevant and critical information in every stage of cooperation. In this way, the tools can notice errors in intermediate stages and adapt to real-time.

Research contributes to making multi-media LLM architecture smarter, scalable and stable. The aim of protecting the level of accuracy while increasing productivity will be based on future complex artificial intelligence systems.
