Large language models (LLM) based agents perform increasingly complex tasks in interactive environments. These systems have to make consecutive decisions through observation, action and feedback cycles. A new research reveals that these agents play the central role of memory to adapt to unknown environments.

Current challenges can be summarized as follows:

  • Isolated Memory Issue: Since existing systems are designed separately on the basis of memory, sufficient data collection is expensive and time-consuming
  • Episodic Memory Sharing: New MemCo approach allows you to learn faster by pooling past experiences between different tasks and environments
  • Generalization Capacity: With shared memory, agents can adapt more effectively to situations where they are encountered in advance -Efficiency Use of welds: Reuse of experiences between multiple agents significantly reduces the cost of training

MemCo system is able to act smarter in guideless scenarios of LLM agents. The research shows that memory design should not be isolated but collaborative. Thus, agents can make faster and accurate decisions by using previous experiences in similar tasks. This finding has critical importance in increasing the ability of artificial intelligence systems to adapt to the real world.
