Tesla’s Cybercab project has yet faced problems in the federal plane without being seen in public roads. The American National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an official audit query due to the absence of mandatory design elements in the new vehicle **yasal.

The main points of the research are:

  • NHTSA will examine what processes and technical data use while Tesla’s Cybercab is hardened
  • Many standard security hardware such as side mirror on the vehicle is missing
  • Most of these features were required by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) Tags
  • Elon Musk’s free design vision conflict with current traffic regulations

Cybercab is designed as a full autonomous robotic and stimulates that Musk does not require traditional vehicle components. But this assumption does not match directly with existing security standards in the US. NHTSA’s investigation will determine whether the company’s certification process meets the legal requirements.

This voltage between technology companies and automotive industry has become an important test to define the limits of how radical vehicles can be**. The result will lead to future autonomous vehicle projects.
