Selective Memory in Artificial Intelligence Agents: Category Based Alıkoyma Strategy

The reliability of artificial intelligence agents is as robust as the decision of which information will be saved to memory. A new research published in arXiv offers a new solution to this critical problem: kategori conditional alıkoyma (category-conditioned retention) mechanism.
There are weak resources in the center of the problem. If the claims that have not yet been proven or limited support are saved to the memory of the system, then they can be reused as built-in facts. This leads AI systems to gradually become less reliable:
- Up to date, all the decisions of settlement are based on a single global trust threshold
- Poor evidenced information gives false results by placing the memory
- Different levels of trust are not applied according to category type
- Statistically reliable areas are equally treated with less data-based domains
Research suggests changing this approach. Different trust thresholds should be determined for each category, which are separated according to the semantic category. Thus, while the information in well-tested categories is saved more comfortable, the system can treat more cautiously in areas that are weaker.
This strategy has critical importance for long-term memory consistency. When the agents should remember, when the answer to the question to pull, directly affects the quality and reliability of memory. The category-based approach can make decisions that artificial intelligence systems can make more consistent and accountable.
